Overview

The Venting Spot is a comprehensive mental wellness platform designed to make emotional support accessible, affordable, and anonymous. We built a full-stack application that connects users experiencing stress, loneliness, or emotional challenges with trained peer listeners and licensed therapists.

Challenge

Mental health support often comes with barriers: high costs, scheduling difficulties, stigma, and lack of anonymity. The client needed a platform that could provide instant, judgment-free support while maintaining user privacy and offering flexible pricing options.

Solution

We developed a feature-rich platform using Next.js with the following capabilities:

• Mood-based matching system - Users select their emotional state (stressed, lonely, heartbroken, overworked) to be matched with appropriate listeners
• Multiple communication modes - Text chat, voice calls, and video sessions
• Tiered service model - Peer listeners (Rs.120/hr) and licensed therapists (Rs.600/hr)
